2008 Success Story
"Core Technologies Molding Group, LLC is a plastic injection molding solutions company from Greensboro, NC. They specialize in low volume and quick mold changes and have expanded their business as a result of participation in the AIG Supplier Exchange held during the 2008 NMSDC Conference and Business Opportunity Fair.
Originally invited by The BMW Group, Geoff Foster, CEO attended the event. Geoff has received two RfQ's from AIG members (Volvo/Mack and VW). The potential dollars for both projects is $1.2 million. In addition, he has obtained a long term contract with Bausch and Lomb. This contract has the opportunity, over lifetime, to approach $10 million dollars. All three activities are a direct result of his attendance at the AIG event and the NMSDC Conference.
This is a real success story because originally, Geoff was unsure if he should attend the NMSDC conference at all. As all attendees do, he wanted to be sure it was worth the expense to travel to Las Vegas along with the related other costs. BMW mentored Core Technologies, helping Geoff to establish the business case to attend. I believe his expectations have been EXCEEDED!"
